Ask ten Tamil film fans to name their favorite Sneha film, and you will probably get ten different answers.
She was never the loud one on screen, but people remember her scenes. In one film she is a bride-to-be in a big joint family, and in another she is a dean’s daughter who keeps up with Kamal Haasan.
If you have been looking for Sneha movies online, here is a good place to start. We picked five Sneha Tamil movies across family drama, comedy, action, and romance, and every one of them is on Sun NXT.
Make some snacks, choose a mood, and press play. These Tamil movies online are made for a slow weekend.

Aanandham (2001) is a family drama that marked Lingusamy’s debut as a director, and it went on to be one of the highest-grossing Tamil films that year. Mammootty plays Thirupathisamy, the eldest of four brothers, who keeps the joint family together while hiding a worry from everyone around him.
Murali, Abbas, and Shyam Ganesh play the younger brothers. Sneha is Viji, a wealthy man’s daughter who falls for Kannan (Abbas) at college, and her scenes lighten a story that is mostly about duty and sacrifice. Sneha received recognition for her performances during this period, adding to the film’s place in her early Tamil career.
If you enjoy Sneha family movies, begin here.
Fun fact: Sneha’s introduction scene was shot at the Mahamaham tank, so watch for it.

Vasool Raja MBBS (2004) is Saran’s Tamil remake of the Hindi hit Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. Kamal Haasan plays Raja, a local goon who has told his parents that he is a doctor. When the truth is close to coming out, he decides to become a real one and ends up in a medical college.
The dean, Dr. Vishwanathan (Prakash Raj), is far from pleased. Sneha plays the dean’s daughter Janaki, known to everyone as Paapu, and she holds her own among a lot of big names. For fans of Tamil comedy movies, it is an easy choice, and probably the funniest of the Sneha comedy movies in this list.
Fun fact: Crazy Mohan, who wrote the dialogue, also suggested the title and appears on screen as Professor Margabandhu.
Image caption: Ajith, a buried past and an old enemy.
Jana (2004) is the action film here. Shaji Kailas directs Ajith as Janarthanan, a man who has settled into a quiet life in a Tamil Nadu village until a former rival from his Mumbai days, played by Siddique, shows up wanting revenge.
Sneha plays Manimegalai. Raghuvaran and Srividya are Jana’s parents, Manoj K. Jayan plays his brother, and Radha Ravi has an important role as well. It runs long, so keep the snacks close. A list of Sneha movies does not have to stay gentle, and this one proves it.
Watch it when you want fights, family drama, and a hero who prefers not to talk about his past.
Fun fact: The film opened on 1 May 2004, Ajith’s birthday. It began life as Thiruda, and Trisha was first signed as the lead actress before she pulled out and Sneha took the role.

Goa (2010) is a comedy from Venkat Prabhu about three young men who leave their Tamil Nadu village for the beach state, hoping to find foreign brides. Sneha plays Suhasini Fernando, a wealthy entrepreneur who owns a luxury cruise ship called Casino Royale.
Suhasini also happens to be Sneha’s real first name. The film spoofs themes from Tamil cinema along with plenty of popular Tamil songs, and Venkat Prabhu himself pops up in several cameos. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music.
It is a light watch for a weekend with friends, though it is an adult comedy, so it suits grown-ups better than a family movie night.
Fun fact: Rajinikanth released the audio at his Poes Garden home on 6 January 2010.
Image caption: A red diary that says what she never could.
Kadhal Sugamanathu (2002) is a romance built around a diary. Tarun plays Ganesh, a carefree college student who finds a red diary left behind by Sandhya (Sneha), his former neighbor, and slowly realizes she has loved him quietly all along.
The first half is told through those diary pages, which lets you hear her thoughts out loud. A sister’s mix-up, a loyal friend, and a wedding about to begin keep things tangled, and the film did well when it was released in December 2002.
Among the Sneha romantic movies here, it is the gentlest and a good fit if Tamil romantic movies are your thing.
Fun fact: The songs were composed by Shiva Shankar, with lyrics by Viveka.
Why These Sneha Movies Are Worth Watching
Put side by side, these five films hardly overlap. Sneha is a young woman in love inside a joint family in Aanandham, a dean’s daughter in a college comedy, Ajith’s leading lady in an action film, a cruise-ship owner in Goa, and the girl behind the diary in Kadhal Sugamanathu.
That variety is likely why people still search for Sneha’s movies years later. The films also span 2001 to 2010, so you get the songs, the clothes, and the slightly dramatic dialogue of those years, and honestly, that is part of the fun.
Watch one on a weekend or try all five in a row.
